Grad, Law, & Med Students

Grad, Law, & Med Students

Graduate and professional students have access to support through their departments or schools as well as UVA’s central student affairs resources. Students in the School of Law, School of Medicine, or Darden School of Business are also supported by student affairs offices within those schools.

Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Scholars

Grad students and postdocs are encouraged to work with their advisor or their department’s director of graduate studies for advising about subjects like coursework, thesis proposals, and research.

The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs offers additional resources for career development and funding, including PhD Plus. Their site also offers a list of community and University resources.

Student Affairs offers support for students wishing to connect with student organizations and activities, support for safety concerns, food insecurity, health and medical services, housing, and more.

Medical Students

The Office of Student Affairs at the School of Medicine offers professional, personal, and academic guidance.

Law Students

The Office of Students Affairs at the School of Law offers individual counseling, works with student organizations, coordinates orientation and graduation, and supports students facing personal challenges.

Darden Students

The Office of Student Affairs at the Darden School of business supports students across the classroom, co-curricular, social, and interpersonal environments. Their offices are located near the student mailboxes in Saunders Hall.
