Recipient: James Bland, Director of the Center for Connection in Engineering
James Bland is honored for his deep, individualized support of engineering students. His advising approach is grounded in empathy and a holistic understanding of students as individuals. Through his work, he creates a supportive environment that helps students navigate challenges, build confidence, and thrive academically and personally.

Recipient: PACE Program, Department of Economics
Program Leads: Jennifer Jones, Career Services Director; Marc Santugini, Associate Professor of Economics
The PACE Program—Professional Materials, Assessment, Career Connections, and Exploration—is recognized for its comprehensive, student‑centered design and significant reach. The program integrates career exploration, peer coaching, and course‑embedded preparation, supporting economics students as they prepare for internships and career opportunities. PACE now engages nearly 300 students each year, offering a coordinated and impactful advising experience.
