Sarah Dodge
Associate Director of Stellic
As Associate Director for Advising Technology, Sarah is responsible for the strategic implementation of Stellic, UVA's advising support platform. She works closely with students and advisors to ensure that they are able to successfully collaborate on creating paths to success.
Sarah brings extensive experience in higher education, program development, and change management to her role. She is passionate about building inclusive, student-centered environments that foster growth, belonging, and success. Her approach is grounded in open communication, creativity, and a commitment to empowering others.
Beyond work, Sarah enjoys being outside, cheering on the New England Patriots, and exploring Charlottesville with her pup, Hobie.

Core Program Coordinator
I am a first-generation student from the South Side of Chicago. As a Double Hoo, I received both my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and my Master's in Higher Education from the University of Virginia. I love movies, music, and cooking. Food is my love language.
Q: What advice do you have for first-year students that you wish you knew when you started college?
A: Ask questions and utilize university resources! Your fear of asking questions only impedes your success. Build a network of personal and professional relationships. Stay motivated and resilient. College is hard, but whenever there is a will, there is a way.
Q: If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
A: Teleportation. I absolutely despise the travel part of going places.
Q: What are three life lessons you have learned that have helped you the most?
Failure is an opportunity to begin again more intelligently. Be genuine and authentic. Take care of yourself. You cannot help others if you are not well.

Mengjun (Junjun) Yu
Assistant Director of Operations
As the Georges Student Center Assistant Director of Operations, Junjun oversees the center’s daily operations, manages administrative and financial tasks, and trains and supervises the GSC Front Desk Team, which includes a diverse group of student staff members.
Junjun was born and raised in Shanghai, China. She earned a bachelor’s degree in International Tourism and Hotel Management from the Macau University of Science and Technology and holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Higher Education from the University of Virginia.
Before joining UVA, Junjun worked with several Forbes-listed organizations, including a theme park in Florida and luxury resorts and hotels in Shanghai, Macau, and Charlottesville, Virginia. In her role at the center, she enjoys interacting with students from around the world and ensuring that the space is welcoming and inclusive for all. Junjun is also proud to speak Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and the Shanghai dialect.
